The basic threshold limit of TCS on LRS transactions has been increased from Rs. 7.00 lakh to Rs. 10.00 lakh. These changes are effective from 1st April 2025.  The summary of amendments in rates and thresholds is as below.

Only customers eligible for undertaking LRS transactions, as per the eligibility criteria defined by the bank, will be permitted to initiate LRS transactions with the bank.

TCS on Debit Card Transactions:

  • All international transactions or cross-border payments (payments to merchants outside India) initiated using debit cards qualify as transactions under the provisions of LRS.

  • For usage of your debit card for international transactions, the applicable TCS shall be computed and levied on your account in real time at the time of your transaction with effect from 1st April 2025. You are requested to keep your account sufficiently funded with an amount inclusive of the transaction amount, applicable charges, and taxes to avoid rejection of the transaction.
