Effective 15 June 2025, the credit card limit will be revised to 90% of the fixed deposit amount.
This change applies to both existing and new users.
Example:
If a user creates a fixed deposit of ₹10,000, the corresponding credit card limit will be ₹9,000 (i.e., 90% of the FD amount).
The SBM bank will be sending communication in bulk to all the users via SMS & email on the changes.

As part of regular account review process, with effect from <date>, the new credit limit of your SBM {#Var} Credit Card will be revised to 90% of the Principal amount of Fixed Deposits (FD Amount) maintained with SBM Bank India.
We observe that your current credit utilization is more than 90% of the revised limit. To ensure uninterrupted usage and continued benefits, we kindly request you to pay the outstanding amount on your credit card by 30th June 2025 and bring your utilization within the revised limit.

Revised Credit Card Limit (effective May 31, 2025): INR__
You are again requested to pay the outstanding amount by 30th June 2025 and bring your utilized amount within the revised credit limit.
Please note: In case of failure to comply, Bank reserves the right to recall outstanding amount and cancel the credit card limit. Such recall may be reported to Credit Information Companies (CICs) and could impact adversely impact your credit score.
